Asia Food Retail Group Pte Ltd (“AFRG") is an investment holding company and provider of management and consultancy services. AFRG’s main business is in the food & beverage sector and the Group acquired the Wendy’s brand in November 2018. Wendy’s is an iconic Australian brand with a 42-year heritage and has grown to be one of Australia’s largest ice cream and treats franchises. The Group’s vision is to bring value to our stakeholders by capitalising on opportunities in the food & beverage sector through our franchise network of over 80 stores in Australia.
Besides its commercial objectives, the Group also actively seek ways to contribute to society through donations, fund raising, volunteering and gifts in kind. This application forms part of our fund raising efforts for a charity (South Central Community Family Service Centre Limited) we have identified as meaningful and impactful to children and their families under the Neighbours for Neighbours (N4N) programme.
AFRG has been supporting South Central Community Family Service Centre (“SCCFSC”) over the last few years. SCCFSC provides support to families who seek help with financial, social or relationship issues. SCCFSC also encourages community self-help and cooperation. Over the past year with COVID-19 challenges faced by the community, AFRG supported SCCFSC with logistics and volunteers for delivery of masks and other essential items from donors to the vulnerable in the community. The Group also made donations to SCCFSC to support SCCFSC’s fund raising efforts to help the community.
